How did you meet?

We met in Merced, CA while performing in the show Always... Patsy Cline. I played Patsy Cline and he was the Music Director. I was determined not to date him because he was so young... but as fate would have it... or perhaps the electricity of being on stage together... I couldn't resist!!!

Tell us about your engagement proposal?

We were performing in a Valentine's concert on Valentine's day, so the day before Joel took me out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, 234 Bistro in Turlock, CA. Being as smooth as he could be, we were just chatting about stuff and he said various things such as: "Whatta ya say?", "How's it goin'?", "Whatcha thinkin'?", "Will you marry me?" And presented a beautful ring. I, ofcourse, said yes!!! That's my Joel!

What do you do for fun?

Ummmmmm... well... that's a tricky question. We perform professionally, which should be what we do for fun, but since it is our job... we love to take long weekends into San Francisco or New York when we are on the East Coast. Mostly, we just like to be together... be it going to the Garlic Festival with our daughter, sitting at home watching t.v., or going out for an evening by ourselves. We are the types who love going to fine restaurants and drinking fine wine or eating pizza and drinking cheap beer. We just love being!

Tell us about your occupation.

I am a musical theatre performer. I also direct and choreograph shows. I have never wanted to do anything else. Joel is the resident Music Director for a theatre and the Director of Music Ministries for the Methodist Church. He also has around 15 private voice/piano students. He is truly dedicated to his work and to doing what he needs to help support our family.

What would you like voters to know about you?

I love my life. I love Joel and our daughter Grace. I want nothing more than to share the rest of my life with them. Friends and family are what keep us going. I often feel like the luckiest person in the world and thank Joel and God for it daily.

Why do you deserve to win our Dream Wedding contest?

Joel and I have been together for over six years. We may have gone about things backwards by having our daughter first, but I think we both knew from the beginning that we wanted to spend our lives together. Because of our chosen professions and dedication to our work (mostly Joel, he just never wants to let anyone down, which is why I love him so much)we haven't had the finances or been able to set a date to have our wedding. We've always wanted to have it on the coast and it would be wonderful if we were able to finally tell our friends and family when and where to meet us for the long awaited ceremony.
